Our girls are named by my grand kids :) 2 speckled sussex are Ellie and Eva ...2 splash (white with a tiny bit of black speckles) are named Snowy & White Chocolate. Then we have Cinnamon & Queenie....(of course they are Cinnamon Queen girls) We also have some ducks...Pekin are Daisy & Donald, 1 khaki Campbell called Campbell (im simple, what can I say?) Then there are the Rouens: a girl named Brownie and 2 boys Peter Pan is very nice and gentle while Peter Parker protects the flock. :) We are adding a silver Appleyard and an Ancona duck and I'm hunting for good names for these speckled babies. Suggestions?

My neighbor got me a white Silky assuring me it was a pullet...I named her "Oprah," in my warped sense of humor, because even white "chicks" can be named Oprah too! Then I found it was a rooster so a quick rewrite and his name became Opie. He had his girlfriends, "Mama1" and "Mama2" which were Bar Rocks and "Red" was a Rhode Island Red. I loved my chickens! When I moved from Maine to North Dakota they were integrated into my neighbor's flock where Opie came from. They are living happily ever after.....The End
